This means we provide professional assistance to a non-EEA spouse who is no longer dependent on the EEA spouse. An application can be made for them to retain their rights and remain in the UK after certain circumstances, e.g. following divorce, death or domestic violence. Our typical costs will be £750. This cost will usually cover the preparation and lodging of an application under EU law and will cover all work up to and including the Home Office decision. We cannot guarantee how long the Home Office will take to process your application; however, these types of applications can usually take up to 6 months from the date of the application being submitted. The cost is for a standard straightforward application. For a more complex application you can contact us for a specific cost estimate. There will also be a Home Office application fee to pay in addition to ours costs which you will have to pay directly as part of the application process. Our costs will not include any advice and assistance in relation to any appeal in the event that the application is refused. We shall confirm whether VAT is properly chargeable when we have been instructed as this will depend on where you live and your immigration permission.
